Everyday questions

Can I explore FitNice before subscribing?

Yes. Choose Explore FitNice first during setup, or use the close button or Explore FitNice on the subscription page. You can try interactive example meals, water, fasting and progress screens. These examples are temporary and do not change your real records; only your choice to open the preview is remembered. Your own tracking and live AI require FitNice Premium. Exploring does not start a free trial or a subscription; a trial starts only if you confirm it in Apple’s purchase sheet.

How does the free trial work?

In FitNice 2.1 and later, eligible new subscribers can start the annual plan with a 3-day free trial. FitNice shows the trial only when Apple reports that your Apple Account is eligible; Apple generally allows one introductory offer per subscription group. Apple’s purchase sheet shows the trial and the annual price that follows before you confirm. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your Apple Account is charged the annual price and the subscription renews every year. To cancel, open iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → FitNice. If you keep the trial reminder on, FitNice schedules a local notification about a day before the trial ends; this needs notification permission. The weekly plan has no free trial. Buying a different subscription during a free trial forfeits any unused part of the trial.

How do I log a meal?

Choose Scan a meal on Today, attach a photo in Diet Expert, or describe what you ate and the portion. Diet Expert estimates nutrition and shows a saved-action receipt when the meal is logged. Check the result and ask to correct it if needed. AI estimates can be inaccurate.

Why does Diet Expert ask for permission?

Diet Expert uses Google Gemini through FitNice’s Cloudflare service. Responding to you requires sharing your message, any attached photo, relevant saved profile and tracking context, and city if available. You can review this disclosure and change your choice in the app’s privacy settings. Turning AI sharing off stops future AI requests; manual tracking remains available with FitNice Premium.

How do I turn on water reminders?

Open Water, then its settings, and enable Gentle reminders. Allow notifications when iOS asks. Choose your first and last reminder hours. FitNice schedules reminders during those hours, pauses after a drink, and stops the remaining reminders for the day when you reach your goal. Check iPhone Settings → Notifications → FitNice if reminders do not arrive.

Can I change or end my fast?

Yes. Open Fasting to change the planned duration or end the timer. Changing an active plan keeps your original start time. Fasting is optional; listen to your needs and seek professional advice where appropriate.

How do I restore a purchase?

Use Restore Purchases in FitNice’s subscription screen while signed into the same Apple Account used for the purchase. An active subscription (including a free trial) or an eligible lifetime Premium purchase can then be recognized on the device. Restoring a purchase does not restore locally stored meal logs or photos.

How do I redeem an Apple offer code?

In FitNice 2.0, build 21 and later, choose Redeem Apple offer code on the Premium screen or in You → FitNice Premium. Enter your Apple-issued code directly in Apple’s redemption screen. Apple checks eligibility and shows the offer terms before you confirm. FitNice does not provide a separate coupon field or translate codes through its server in these builds. Access changes only after FitNice verifies an Apple purchase; opening or canceling the screen does not unlock Premium or start a paid purchase. An eligible lifetime purchase has no recurring fee or fixed expiration, and it does not automatically cancel an existing subscription. Apple codes may expire or reach a redemption limit; test and production codes are separate.

How do I manage or cancel a subscription?

On your iPhone, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → FitNice. You can review your renewal and cancel there, including during a free trial. Deleting FitNice does not cancel a subscription. Apple manages payments and refund requests.

How do I export or delete my data?

Open You → Privacy & AI to export saved data and photos or delete all local data. AI sharing can also be switched off there. Your diary is stored on your device; FitNice has no separate account or server diary to restore it from. Apple device backups are managed separately. Deleting local data does not retract requests already processed by service providers.

Is FitNice medical advice?

No. FitNice supports general wellness and personal tracking for adults 18 and older. Calorie values and body-energy calculations are estimates. Diet Expert cannot diagnose, treat, or replace a qualified health professional. Seek professional advice for medical concerns or before changing a routine that affects a health condition.
